1932 Jules Michelet 3
Volum sobru cu o compoziţie simetrică, imobilul aflat pe strada Jules Michelet la numărul 3 este definit de alternarea celor două bovindouri, a balcoanelor şi a logiilor pe faţada principală. Atmosfera austera generată de masivitatea corpurilor care alcătuiesc compoziţia este subliniată şi de soclul de înălţimea unui om, finisat rugos într-o similipiatră roşiatică. Cu acelaşi material este modelat portalul de intrare, străjuit de sferturi de coloane care înrămează un hol elegant lucrat in marmură albă, marmură verde şi inox.
Glafuri, solbancuri şi brâie simple dar continue şi care se întorc pe faţade sau parapeţi, împreună cu discrete balustrade metalice ne plasează într-un auster Art Deco târziu, premergător Modernismului. Interioarele însă, după cum se poate remarca din holul de intrare sunt mai apropiate de un Art Deco elegant, poate chiar luxos.
A sober volume with a symmetrical composition, the building in Jules Michelet 3 is defined by the alternation of the two bow-windows, the balconies and the loggias on the main facade. The austere atmosphere generated by the massiveness of the volumes that create the composition is also emphasized by the man-high base, with a reddish stone replacement rough finish. Within the same material is modeled the portal, guarded by quarter-columns that frame a hallway, elegantly finished in white and green marble and stainless steel plate.
Window sills, aprons and simple but continuous profiles that turn corners on facades or parapets, together with discrete metal railings place us within a late, austere Art Deco, foregoing Modernism. The interiors, however, as it can be observed from the entrance hallway are closer to an elegant, maybe even luxuriant Art Deco.
