Jean MONDA propune aici un volum marcat de o rezolvare de colţ de un Art Deco exemplar, realizat strict în materiale austere, lipsite de preţiozitate naturală, dar înnobilate prin compoziţia vibrantă de suprafeţe teşite, convexe şi în zig-zag. Sublinierea suplimentară a acestui colţ prin folosirea balconului curb a transformat această locuinţă într-un eveniment reper, atât pentru stradă, cât şi pentru estetica locuinţelor anilor 30’.

Recent restaurat cu bun gust de profesor arhitect Tomniţa FLORESCU,  imobilul îşi păstrează în continuare registrele riflate care sugerează atât influenţa Streamline cât şi a registrului Modernist fereastră-bandou.

Se mai păstrează una din cele două antene radio care ornau volumele verticale, dar se poate intui existenţa celeilalte prin nutul vertical amplasat simetric faţă de axul-bisectoare al intersecţiei.

Jean MONDA proposes here a volume marked by an exemplary Art Deco corner solution, built with austere textures, materials lacking natural preciousness, but ennobled by the vibrant composition of beveled, convex and jagged surfaces. The additional emphasizing of this corner through the use of the curved balcony transformed this residence into an iconic event both for the street and for the ’30s housing esthetics.

Having recently undergone a good taste restoration by professor architect Tomniţa FLORESCU, the building still has the grooved registers that suggest the influences of both Streamline and of the Modernist band window register.

The villa still has one of the two radio antennas that decorated the vertical volumes, but one can feel the memory of the other one, through the vertical groove, placed symmetrically from the corner bisector axis.
