Liniile curate ale clădirii de colţ proiectate de Jean MONDA pentru domnul NICOLAU situeaza din nou lucrarea arhitectului la limita stilistică dintre Art Deco şi Modernism. Lipsa ancadramentelor si simplitatea volumelor din compoziţie sunt specifice Modernismului, în timp ce parapeţii logiilor, cu elementele lor orizontale, şi balustradele din platbandă metalică ale etajului 4, de inspiraţie Streamline, sunt elemente Art Deco. Tot Art Deco sunt şi profilaturile simple, utilizate pentru unificarea componentelor, ca de altfel şi uşile de intrare şi grilajele ferestrelor de la demisol. Un element aparte al acestei clădiri îl constituie registrul definit de pergolelele şi glorieta stilizată de la etajul 4. Glorieta preia curbura volumului de colţ, gest specific Art Deco-ului Streamline.

The clean lines of the corner building designed by Jean MONDA for mr. NICOLAU, situate once more the architect’s work at the stylistic border between Art Deco and Modernism. The lack of window frames and the simplicity of the volumes within the composition are specific to Modernism, whitle the parapets of the loggias, with their horizontal elements, and the metal plate railings of the fourth floor, of Streamline influence, are Art Deco elements. The simple profiles used to bring components together are also Art Deco, as well as the entrance doors and the demi-basement window metal grills. The fourth floor register, defined by the pergolas and the stylized gloriette make for a particular feature of this building. The gloriette follows the curving of the corner volume, a typical Streamline Art Deco gesture.
