Ansamblul de trei clădiri proiectate pentru inginerul Emil PRAGER (1888-1985) constituie una din cele mai plăcute prezenţe de pe Bulevardul Dacia. Art Deco-ul elegant, dar nu extravagant, al ansamblului se face simţit atât în tuşele ample (bovindouri, socluri, portal) cât şi în cele de detaliu (brâuri zimţate, balustrade din platbandă sau uşi şi porţi cu motive zimţate sau Streamline).
Elementele extraordinare ale acestui ansamblu transcend stilul şi sunt, fără îndoială, portalul monumental de circa 10 metri înălţime şi incinta pe care acesta o închide. Portalul este foarte elegant schiţat prin aşezarea unei traverse între cele două corpuri dinspre stradă, sprijinind pe acestea prin intermediul a două console retrase progresiv. Incinta este încântătoare prin coerenţa stilistică şi tranchilitatea oferită de acest tip de curte de onoare.
The three building ensemble designed for engineer Emil PRAGER (1888-1985) count as one of the most enjoyable presences on Dacia Boulevard. The elegant, but not extravagant, Art Deco of the ensemble can be felt within ample gestures (bow-windows, base registers, portal) as well as within the detailed ones (nicked profiles, metal band railings or doors and gates with nicked or Streamline motifs).
The extraordinary elements of this ensemble transcend style and are, unquestionably, the monumental 10 meter (over 30 feet) tall portal and the courtyard it encloses. The portal is very elegantly sketched by setting a girder between the two street side buildings, upheld by these through the two progressively retreated supports. The inner courtyard is enchanting through the stylistic coherence and the tranquility offered by this type of court-of-honor.
